Thorney Fellowship Club

The Thorney Fellowship Club meets on Mondays at the Bedford Hall.  Members are men and women of 55 and older.  Helpers are of any age.  The day lasts from 10.00am until 2.30pm.

We begin with tea or coffee, then Members can either play a variety of board games, do
jig-saws or just chat.  The two course lunch, which is prepared and cooked on the premises, is served at about noon.  Then there is a variety of activities; Craft work, team games, quizzes or sometimes a Guest Speaker.  So far, we've had talks on the Donkey Sanctuary, Pensions, Old Peterborough and foreign holidays.

On the first Monday of the Month, we hold an 'Open Bingo' where everybody is welcome.  (Reminder notices are displayed in various locations throughout the village).

Outings have also been very popular; we've been to Turners, Norfolk Lavender, Wyevale and Hunstanton.  Trips to the Theatre are in future plans.

Transport is available for folk who are unable to come by themselves.

So, if you'd like to join us, or come for lunch, why not ring Margaret on 01733 270481 or Jean on 01733 270538.  You'll be made very welcome.
